Four Hospitalized Following Accidents
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 12:00 a.m., on Hwy H, one mile north of Lewistown, Missouri, a 2002 Chevrolet 1500 pickup was totaled when it traveled off of the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. A male, 52 year-old Christopher F. Neustadt of O’Fallon, Missouri was moderately injured. His vehicle was towed from the scene by Roberts Garage of Durham. Mr. Neustadt was transported by Lewis County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the accident scene by the Lewis County Fire Dept. and Lewis County Sheriff’s Dept.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 7:25 a.m., on MO 168, two miles west of Palmyra, Missouri, a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Jeffrey G. Yates, a 56 year-old male of Maywood, Missouri crossed the center line striking a 2007 Ford Expedition driven by 46 year-old, Karina R. Phillips of Palmyra, Missouri, on the driver’s side. Yates’ vehicle overturned and both came to rest in the ditch. Both vehicles were totaled. The Marion County Ambulance transported Yates to Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal. Phillips was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by private auto. Four MSHP Troopers were assisted at the scene by Marion County Sheriff’s dept. and the Palmyra Fire Dept.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 45 year-old male, Devon E. Patchin, of Bethel, Missouri, was moderately injured when the 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was driving ran off the left side of the roadway, overturned and ejected the driver at 6:25 p.m. on July 15, 2016, on Route E, 3.5 miles northeast of Bethel. The motorcycle was totaled and Patchin was transported by Air Evac to University Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri. The MSHP was assisted at the scene by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Dept.
