Emden Teens Escape Serious Injuries In Rollover Accident

Two Emden teens escaped serious injuries in a rollover accident on Wednesday, July 25, at 9:17 p.m. on Route AA at Shelby County on gravel road 272, approximately three miles north of Hunnewell.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Vincent D Brummer, 19, Emden, was westbound driving a 1994 Chevrolet S10, when he lost control on the gravel roadway, crossed over onto the blacktop and overturned coming to rest in the roadway on its top.
Brummer had minor injuries, and refused treatment at the scene.
Occupant, Emily D Rupert, 17, Emden, Brummer’s girlfriend, was transported by Salt River Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.
Both involved in accident were wearing their seatbelts.
The MSHP was assisted by Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, Shelby County Fire and Rescue, and Salt River Ambulance.
