Shed Destroyed By Fire In Shelbyville Saturday Morning

  A shed owned by Lindell and Sherrie Parsons, Shelbyville, was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning, June 8.  

  According to Sherrie a little before 2:00 a.m., she woke up to a noise coming from her window unit making noises. “It sounded like it was surging,” said Sherrie. Sherrie said she got up again after hearing loud noises she noticed an orange glow outside of her house. 

  The shed behind their home was fully engulfed in flames.

  According to Shelby Community Fire Department Chief Mike Geisendorfer they got dispatched at 1:56 a.m. and arrived on scene at 2:05 a.m. to a fully engulfed shed and flames were coming out of the roof. 

  Geisendorfer said they were on scene until 3:05 a.m. “A premilinary investigation shows it was determined to be electrical cause,” said Geisendorfer. 

  Contents included a truck owned by Lindell and Sherrie’s son, Chase, and a motorcycle that Lindell’s father used to ride in parades for Shriners. There were also tools and Lindell’s auction signs.

   The SCFD was assisted by Salt River Ambulance, Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, City of Shelbyville Superintendent Randy Shores, and Macon Electric Cooperative.
