Frank “Terry” Threlkeld

Frank Terry Threlkeld, age 80, passed away January 24, 2020 at his home in Macon, MO.

Terry was born September 30, 1939, in Shelbina, MO, the son of George Frank and Lucenia (Hamilton) Threlkeld. He was united in marriage to Delores Copenhaver on November 21, 1959 near Hagers Grove, MO. She survives.

He is also survived by three children, Gary Threlkeld (Cindy) of Ferrelview, MO, William J Threlkeld (Stacy) of Huntsville, MO, and Kevin Threlkeld (Gina) of Wildwood, MO; grandson Matthew Threlkeld (Tammie) of St. Peters, MO; granddaughter Mandy Rhoades of Mound City, MO; great grandson Hunter Rhoades and great granddaughter River Rhoades of Mound City, MO; one sister Virginia of Junction City, KS; sister-in-law, Elsie; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jimmie Joe Threlkeld.

Terry was a barber in Shelbyville and Shelbina for many years and worked in C&R and IGA grocery stores until retirement. Terry also built their home in Shelbina, where they lived in for 43 years. After retirement, Terry and his wife liked to load up the travel trailer and head as snowbirds to warmer spots. Moving to Fulton allowed Terry to be closer to his brother and his family. In his final days, Terry and Delores moved back to Macon to be closer to his birth home.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shelbina, Missouri. A visitation preceded the service starting at 8:30 a.m. at the church. Burial was in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Shelbina, Missouri. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Donor’s Choice.
