The resident from Salt River Community Care in Shelbina who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, March 24 has made a full recovery and was able to return to the facility.
Shelby County Health Department Administrator Audrey Gough said the individual had taken two tests and both came back negative.
“You have to be symptom-free for 72 hours for the first test. Then 24 hours later you can be tested again,” said Gough.
Gough added, “Everyone who has been in contact with the individual has been cleared, because it has been 14 days.”
