Wayne E. Neaterour

Wayne Neaterour, age 82, of Shelbina, MO passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Wayne was born on February 10, 1938, in Quincy, IL, the son of Wayne Paul and Mildred Scott Neaterour. He was united in marriage to Shirley Bohon on September 17, 1976 in Palmyra, MO. She survives.

He is survived by one son, Kevin D. Neaterour (Kathleen) of Streator, IL; one step-daughter, Barbara Bross (Steve) of Palmyra, MO; seven grandchildren, Paige Neaterour (Nick Schroeder) and Rebecca Neaterour; Amy Roberts (Robert), Emily Disselhorst, Matt Wells (Brie), Lisa Hunziker (Anthony), and Macy Bross; five great-grandchildren, Connor, Landon, Dayton, Hunter and Mallory; three sisters, Jean Dick (Al), Rosemary Zerbonia (Bill), and Delores Ann Leccese and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-daughter, Debbie Brandeberry.

Wayne was in the National Guard and retired as a farmer. He belonged to the Moose Lodge in Quincy IL. He was an avid car collector, liked to play cards, watch country music shows and travel.

Due to CDC guidelines, a private graveside service was held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Shelbina Cemetery. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date for the public. Memorials may be made to the Shelby County Nutrition Site.
