Jaunita Fern Ives

Jaunita Fern Ives, age 88, of Shelbina, Missouri passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at Shelbina Villa in Shelbina.

Jaunita was born March 31, 1932 in Warren, Missouri, the daughter of Roger Edwin and Mabel Lillian (Bastian) Hipkins. She was united in marriage to Marvin William Ives on July 24, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1998.

She is survived by four children, Nancy Lee Purdy (Sonny) of Shelbina, MO; James William Ives of Shelbina, MO; John Edward Ives (Georgia) of Jefferson City, MO; and Donnie Eugene Ives (Juli) of Shelbina, MO; nine grandchildren, Connie, Christina, Tammy, Tonia, Corey, Brent, Tasha, Sean and Jamie; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Pearl Jean Ives, and Carol Louise Yates; three grandchildren, Brandy Ives, Cindy Childress, and Carolyn Childress; one brother, Charles E. Hipkins; one sister, Mary McDonald.

Jaunita was a beautician for many years. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, going to Texas for the winter and spending time with her grandkids

Due to CDC rules, the family had a graveside service Monday, April 13, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Shelbina Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Shelbina Villa or the Shelbina Cemetery.
