Sheriff’s Department Asking for Public’s Help

  The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is in need of the public’s help in locating Matthew Allen Shaw. Shaw was involved in a motor vehicle accident on May 15, 2020 on Highway 168 east of Shelbyville in Shelby County. Shaw left the scene of the accident prior to law enforcement arriving on scene. According to witnesses, Shaw was last seen walking into the woods away from the accident. The Sheriff’s Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, along with several of Shaw’s family members searched approximately a five-mile area along Highway 168 with no sign of Shaw. Shaw has not been seen or heard from by any family members since the evening of May 15, 2020.

  Matthew is described as a white male, approximately 5’5 and 140 pounds with brown shaggy hair and a full beard. Matthew was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt.
