Matthew Allen Shaw

Matthew Allen Shaw of Bethel, Missouri, was born on November 29, 1983 in St. Louis, MO and left this life May 15, 2020 at the age of 36.

Matthew proudly fathered two children that he loved more than anything. He was an important figure in many lives. Matt had a large collection of rocks that he treasured, not because of their worth, but the stories behind them. If he wasn’t working, spending time with his parents, or playing with the many children that love him, he could be found shuffling through a creek. He was an avid fisher and hunter as well.

Matthew was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend that could be described as selfless in so many ways. No matter where he was or what he was doing, he was always one phone call away from doing anything for anyone.

Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Greeba Shaw and Richard Chaney; cousin, Bud Shaw; and several aunts and uncles.

Left to continue his legacy is his two daughters, Randi Sue and Mattison Nevaeh of Shelbina, MO; parents, Patricia and Howard Shaw of Emden, MO; Kandice Watson of Fenton, MO, Christina Weideman of Leonard, MO, and Abigail Shaw of Emden, MO; two brother-in-laws, three nieces and two nephews; his beloved girlfriend, Kim Davis of Monroe City, MO and her three children, Alison, Kaylee, and Austin. A large amount of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends were also impacted by Matt’s life.

Private services will be held by family in Garwood, MO at a later date.

All prayers can be sent to the Shaw family who are grieving the loss of an unforgettable member.

Matthew was gone too soon and will forever be in our hearts.

The family wishes to thank the community for all of the donations.
