At approximately 2:30 p.m. today, multiple law enforcement agencies converged upon a location east of Shelbina on Shelby County Rd. 449, just south of U.S. 36.
An officer has told the Herald the incident involved, “a manhunt from Monroe City.”
“I saw a lot of commotion,” a nearby resident said, requesting anonymity. “I asked a highway patrolman, I don’t know his name, what was going on. He said they got their man.”
Shelby County Sheriff Dennis Perrigo was not immediately available for comment.
The Herald will have further details when they become available.
