Several North Shelby Raiders Receive Division, District Recognition

  The Central River League released its 2020 All-North Division football team late this morning.

  North Shelby is well represented with five players named 1st Team Offense as well as five on 1st Team Defense.

  Offensive linemen Dylan McEwen and Jackson Lunsford, running back Justin Lunsford, quarterback Cale Stoneburner and wide receiver Rob Uhlmeyer were the 1st Team selections.

  On the other side of the ball, Jackson Lunsford (lineman) and Stoneburner (defensive back) were joined on the 1st Team by linebacker Noah Greenwell, lineman Luke Schwanke and linebacker Kyle Smith.

  Running back Carson Orr was a 2nd Team selection on offense. Brayton Cook received honorable mention as a lineman.

  Linebacker Landon Bender and defensive back Justin Lunsford were named to the 2nd Team Defense. Orr was honorable mention at defensive back.

  Early this afternoon, the All-District 2 Team was released.

  Jackson Lunsford was named First Team on both offense and defense. He was joined on offense by Justin Lunsford and Stoneburner, who was chosen as an all-purpose back.

  Joining Jackson Lunsford on the First Team Defense are Greenwell and Stoneburner.

  Each school was able to select a deserving special teams’ player. North Shelby’s was Uhlmeyer at kick returner.

  District 2 did not name a 2nd Team Offense or Defense.

  Receiving honorable mention for NS on offense were McEwen, Cook and Orr. On defense, the players were Bender, Schwanke and Smith.

  North Shelby finished its season 8-3.
