Anita Ratliff, 68, of Shelbina, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Anita was born Aug. 28, 1952, in Hannibal, the daughter of John William and Theo Jean (Spotts) Franklin. She was united in marriage to Roy Lee “Buddy” Ratliff on Feb. 13, 1988 in Hannibal. He survives.
Anita is survived by her husband; three step-sons, Kenneth Lee Ratliff of Michigan; Michael Lynn Ratliff and wife Tanya of Tennessee and Eddie Joe Ratliff and wife Maria of Texas; one brother, Jon William Franklin and wife Nancy of Hannibal.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, James Franklin and Rhoda Franklin.
Anita was a member of the Shelbina Christian Church. She led a small group in the church and on Tuesday mornings enjoyed coffee shop time there. Anita enjoyed taking pictures, reading, knitting, sewing, cooking, and baking. She especially loved her dog, Daisy.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec.19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina.. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. after visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be at Shelbina Cemetery in Shelbina.
