Violet Lee Boehme

Violet Lee Boehme, 78, of Shelbyville passed away on Jan. 5 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Violet was born on Aug. 17, 1942 the daughter of James Riley and Martha Cleo (Davis) Wilcox.

Violet was a member of the Hunnewell Mission Church. She loved art, painting, baking, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed taking care of flowers, talking to people, traveling and playing Bingo.

Violet is survived by two children; Tammy Hill of Shelbyville and Chuck Boehme (Bobbie) of Monroe City; five grandchildren, Carlos Valdes, Lynette Butler (Billy), Rosa Valdes (Mark), Richelle Gall (Richie), and Crystal Boehme; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Wilcox and Sherry Wilcox both of Shelbyville.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, James Boehme.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina.  Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 2 pm prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
