An election for the various municipalities of Shelby County will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Candidates have filed for the following positions:
City Offices
Trustees and aldermen are elected for two-year terms.
Bethel: (Two trustees to be elected) Michael A. Crane, Kevin Kattelman and Kylie Derboven have filed for these positions.
Clarence: (Two aldermen to be elected) Troy Renner and Patrick Parker have filed for these positions.
Hunnewell: (Two aldermen to be elected) Jerry Porter, Jason Leake and Karen Long have filed for these positions.
Shelbina: Jeff Brown had filed for City Marshal. Babe Simpson had filed for West Ward alderman. No one filed for East Ward alderman.
Shelbyville: Jerry Myers filed for South Ward alderman. No one filed for North Ward alderman.
School Boards
The directors on these boards are elected for three-year terms.
North Shelby: (Two directors to be elected) Ryan Wiley, Brandy Uhlmeyer, Jeff Bender and Patricia Staples have filed for these positions.
Shelby County R-IV: (Two directors to be elected) Amy Harre, Scott Gough and Aaron Kendrick have filed for these positions.
Other Boards
The following is a list of persons who have filed a declaration of candidacy for openings at other political subdivisions.
Clarence Nursing Home District: Rick Maupin had filed in sub-district #3 and Carl D. Langhammer has filed in sub-district #4.
Salt River Nursing Home District: Jerry Myers and Cameron Christoffer have filed for sub-district #1. Julia Perrigo has filed for sub-district #6.
Salt River Ambulance District: Kaye Elsen has filed for District #5, Salt River West Township. No on filed for District #2, Clay Township.
Shelbina Special Road District: Kerry Lackey has filed for this position.
