Goldie Boyles Howe, 105, of Shelbina and formerly Shelbyville, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina.
Goldie was born to John and Annie (Wright) Robb on Sept. 24, 1915 near Emden. In 1920, she moved with her parents to Shelbyville where she lived nearly all of her life.
In 1935, she married Vincil Boyles. To this union two sons were born, Donnie and Bob. Vincil passed away in 1983. In 1988, she married Art Howe. He passed away in 1993.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Donnie in 2014; her grandson Larry Boyles; great-grandson, Daniel Mitzel; one brother and one sister.
Survivors include her son, Bob and wife Ginny of Shelbyville, her daughter-in-law, Faye Boyles of Shelbina; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great grandchildren.
Goldie was a devout Christian who loved her family very much. She enjoyed her years of church work, knew her Bible from cover to cover and taught Sunday School for many years.
Graveside services will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 at Shelby Memorial Cemetery in Shelbyville.
