Mary Belle Studer, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 23at her home in Shelbina.
Mary Belle was born March 9, 1934, in Bethel, the daughter of Howard and Effie (McElhoe) Hillard. She was united in marriage to Paul Studer on Feb. 12, 1955 in Clarence. He survives.
Mary Belle is survived by her husband; five children, Robin Studer of Columbia, Mike Studer (Pam) of Skiatook, Okla., Joy Rohde (Rich) of Spokane, Wash., Lisa Raymer (Terry) of Marco Island, Fla. and Doug Studer (Amy) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren, Jason Branstetter (Tiffany), Chad Raymer (Alecia), Kyle Raymer, Ashley Ceresa (Nick), Taylor Rohde and Gabrielle Studer; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bob Hillard and Fred Hillard; and two sisters, Janice Mott and Betty Smith.
Mary Belle graduated from Shelbina High School and was a member of the Shelbina Christian Church. She was a beautician for over 30 years. She loved gardening, flowers, playing cards, listening to country music and collecting glassware. Mary Belle enjoyed going to Texas for the winter and cherished time spent with her family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Visitation will be held Monday, April 5 from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville. Memorials can be made to Shelby County Senior Citizens and Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
