Charles Laverne Kane, 79, passed away Sunday, March 28 at his home in Anabel.
He was born May 29, 1941, in Kewanee, Ill., the son of Charles Timothy and Lavaune May (Rosine) Kane. He was married to Jean Kane in April 1969 and later divorced her. He was married to Earleene Kane on January 1, 1989. She preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 2002.
Charlie is survived by his girlfriend of nineteen years, Angie Harmon; his children, Lois Faucette of Clifton Hill, Cindy Johnson of Colorado, Sandy Hull of Cambridge, Ill., Cheri King of San Antonio, Texas and Eric Barnes of Shelbina; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tim Kane and Charles James Kane; and one daughter, Savannah Kane.
Charlie was a Christian by faith. He was a part of the Jim Harmon Memorial Scholarship, Northeast Missouri Old Threshers, Macon Fly Wheel Club, Missouri and Illinois Farm Team Pulling Association. Charlie enjoyed horse pulling, tractor pulling, farming, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 1 at 3 pm at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Clarence. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home in Clarence on Thursday afternoon. Burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Woodville.
