LANCASTER – North Shelby scored three times during the top of the eighth inning to beat Schuyler County 9-6 on Tuesday, April 6.
Casey Shockley had four hits, including a solo home run, with three RBI for the Raiders (3-1).
Trailing 6-5 in the home-half of the seventh, the Rams tied the game.
NS pounded out 13 hits. Rob Uhlmeyer also had a solo home run.
Kyle Smith and Uhlmeyer each pitched four innings holding Schuyler County (1-5) to seven hits. Smith finished with eight strikeouts.
The teams committed a combined nine errors, five by North.
The Raiders were scheduled to host Scotland County on Tuesday, April 13 and travel to Ewing to play Highland on Thursday, April 15.
