Clark Aubrey Dobbs

Clark Dobbs,  79, of Macon, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Macon Healthcare Center.

Clark was born on February 2, 1942 in St. Louis to Aubrey and Lena (Willis) Dobbs. He graduated at Southwest High School in St. Louis in 1960 and graduated from Hannibal LaGrange College (now Hannibal LaGrange University) in 1962. He later attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Truman State University) and graduated from Southwest Missouri State College in 1965, and received his Masters Degree at Ole Miss in 1971. Clark was a teacher at Lincoln County R-III in Troy, Shelby County R-IV and Macon R-1 School District, completing 30 years of teaching.

Clark was a Pastor to senior adults at Macon First Baptist Church for 22 years. Held Bible Studies for senior adults at Loch Haven Nursing Home, Macon Healthcare Center and Clarence Care Center for many years. He enjoyed every minute of it.

He was a friend to everyone young and old. Witnessed for Christ wherever he was.

Clark leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Copeland Dobbs; his son, John Dobbs and his wife Kathi of St. Cloud, MN; three grandchildren, Joel, Rebekah, and Levi Dobbs all of St. Cloud, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m, Sunday, May 9 at  Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.

Visitation will be held 9 to 11 a.m., Monday, May 10 at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 10 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Shelbina Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church of Macon or First Baptist Church of Shelbina.
