Wyleta S. Beall

Wyleta S. Beall, 83, of Clarence, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Clarence Care Center in Clarence.

Wyleta was born December 8, 1937 in Lentner, the daughter of Monroe and Wynema (Barr) Smock. She was united in marriage to Jim Beall on June 19, 1960 in Clarence. He survives.

She is also survived by her son, Jim Ed Beall of Lentner; daughter, DiAnn Beall of Clarence; brother, Eddie Smock and his wife Judy of Clarence; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Wyleta was a member of the Clarence Christian Church and was an original founding member of the Lentner Young Homemakers.  After graduating from Clarence High School in 1956, she attended the University of Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1960.  She started her nursing career at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon and then transferred to Moberly Regional Hospital serving as the Director of Nursing. Wyleta served as the Director of Nursing for the Clarence Care Center and the Salt River Nursing Home.  She finished her career teaching nursing at the Moberly Area Community College in Moberly.  Wyleta loved gardening, flowers and her cats. She loved children and was always willing to watch and care for her nieces, nephews and children throughout the community.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence.

Memorials may be made to the Maplewood Cemetery or the Clarence Care Center.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home.
