North Shelby athletes participated at the Knox County Relays on Thursday, May 6.
Whitney Shinn had four first-place performances in the 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter dashes and triple jump.
Caroline Linberger finished second to Shinn in the 100 and 200. Gracie von Thun came in third in the 200-meter.
Linberger placed third in the 400.
Linberger won the long jump competition.
In boy’s competition Greenwell was first in javelin and earned fourth in the 400.
Donnie Horner won first place in the 1600-meter race and set a personal record of 6:12.
The girls 4×100-meter relay team of Barrick, Marissa McEwen, von Thun and Layne Parshall finished third.
The following athletes had personal-best performances at the Knox County Relays:
Girls: Zoe Barrick, 100; McEwen, shot put and javelin and Mesmer, discus.
Boys: Horner, javelin and Riley Hill, shot put and discus.

Girls: 100-meter, Barrick, eighth; 100m hurdles, von Thun, fourth; shot put, McEwen, sixth; Mesmer, seventh; long jump, Parshall, fourth; discus, McEwen, fifth; Mesmer, seventh; javelin, McEwen, sixth and Mesmer, 10th.
Boys: 800-meter, Horner, seventh; shot put, Hill, fifth; discus, Hill, fourth; javelin, Horner, 10th and Hill 11th.
