Three North Shelby athletes competed at the Class 1 Sectionals at Monroe City on Saturday, May 15.
Those advancing to the State Track and Field Meet on Saturday, May 22 in Jefferson City by finishing in the top 4 include:
Caroline Linberger won first in long jump.
Whitney Shinn sprinted her way to second in the 100 meter dash.
Shinn received third in the 200 m race and triple jump. She also won fourth in the 400m.
Earning points for finishing in 5th – 8th place:
Noah Greenwell – 5th in javelin. Linberger finished fifth in 100m and 400 meter.
Improving their personal records include:
Whitney Shinn – 200m (27.38) and 400m (1:01.60)
Carline Linberger – 400m (1:04.96)
Shinn’s time of 1:01.60 in the 400m earned her Bronze Elite Performance recognition by MoMileSplit.
