Chuck Wagons Coming to Shelby County
The Mid-America Chuck Wagon Roundup will take place Saturday, June 26 at the Shelby County Fairgrounds, north of Shelbina. The event is being hosted by the Northeast Missouri Old Threshers Association.
The grounds will be open at 10 a.m. for anyone wishing to come enjoy the camaraderie and experience of chuck wagons from across the Midwest as they prepare and cook a wood fired meal. There will be Cowboy Poets in the afternoon and after supper.
The meal will be served at 5 p.m., as a free-will donation with all donations from the event benefiting “The Great River Honor Flight.”
The public is invited to bring a lawn chair and plan to come early and stay late.
