John F Laye

John Laye, 48, of Clarence, passed away on August 22, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital in Macon.

John was born on December 10, 1972 in Columbia, to John Samuel Laye and Roberta Gayle (White) Tarapen.

He is survived by his parents, John and Misti Laye of Clarence and Roberta and Levi Tarapen of Alvord, Texas; his fiancé, Deanna Coleman of Clarence; step-son, Noah Coleman of Clarence; two brothers, Kevin Laye of Republic and Patrick Parker of Clarence.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his brother, Quentin Coleman; three uncles, T.J. Johnston, Charles Lee Laye and Alan Johnston.

John enjoyed playing video games, going to Noah’s school functions, traveling and being outside. He was family oriented and loved spending time with them. John enjoyed working at the Moberly Correctional Center.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, August 27 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Clarence.

Memorials can be made to Donor’s choice.
