Lady Raiders at. Atlanta
North Shelby lost to the Lady Hornets on Monday, October 4, 2-1.
The Lady Raiders (15-6) were first to score in the contest. They put one run on the board in the third inning.
Two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning claimed Atlanta’s win.
Whitney Snow was on the mound for NS. She surrendered tow runs on six hits over five innings, striking out eight.
Snow, Chesnie Robbins and Caroline Linberger each had a hit in the game.
Atlanta’s pitcher struck out 14 Lady Raiders and walked one.
North Shelby vs. Lady Tigers
During the Tuesday, October 5 contest, the Lady Raiders lost to Scotland County, 6-5.
NS (15-7) held the lead until the seventh inning when SC put four runs on the board after a home run was made by the Lady Tigers.
In the bottom of the second inning, North Shelby tied things up at two. The Lady Raiders scored one run on a stolen base.
NS took a 5-2 lead at the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Lady Raiders had 10 hits in the game. Natalie Thrasher led NS with three hits. Meg Shively collected two.
Linberger, Robbins, Snow, Ava Williams and Addy Uhlmeyer each had one.
Linberger, Shively and Uhlmeyer each had an RBI.
Thrasher allowed 13 hits and six runs while striking out two and walked zero.
Scotland County’s pitcher struck out nine Lady Raiders and walked zero.
