Information Released by Shelby County Sheriff Arron Fredrickson
On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at approximately 3:49 p.m. the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office assisted Salt River Ambulance at 7205 Shelby 401, south of Clarence, in reference to a report of a male subject that had been run over by a tractor.
Upon arrival, the patient was in the process of being assessed by first responders. The patient was identified as Jim Chinn. Chinn was alert and talking to first responders. Chinn was bleeding from the head and stating he was starting to have issues seeing.
Salt River Ambulance arrived on scene and began treating Jim until Survival Flight landed, at which time he was transported to University Hospital in Columbia.
The SCSO was assisted on scene by the Clarence Fire Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
