Randy Reed “Slinger” Hunolt, 61, of Bethel, passed away at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
Randy was born in Kirksville, on May 9, 1960 to Joseph Bradley Hunolt and Betty (Bichsel) Long. He was married to Susan Foster on June 26, 1982. They later divorced.
Randy was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Robert Joseph Hunolt; and grandparents, Charles and Virginia Hunolt and Tony and Leola Bichsel.
He is survived by his mother, Betty and step-dad, Dale Long; his children, Christopher Bradley Hunolt of Bethel, Lacy Meyer (Justin) of Hannibal and Thomas Avery Hunolt of Bethel; two grandchildren, Zaelyn Marie Meyer and Jaxten Thomas Meyer of Hannibal; fiancé, Rebecca Sharpe-Whitaker of LaBelle; step-brother, Raymond Dale Long, step-sister, Gayla Bichsel; uncle, Tony Hunolt (Ruth); two nephews, Billy Joe Hunolt (Tiffany) and Charles Tyler Hunolt (Brittany) and best friend, Jason Brumbaugh.
Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and farming. He greatly loved spending time with his family, kids and grandkids.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6, at 10 a.m. at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the St. Michael’s Cemetery following the service.
