Janice Jean Ehernberger

Janice Jean Ehrenberger, 72, died in her home in Shelbyville, on Sunday, January 16, 2022, losing a nine year battle with dementia.

Janice was born July 13, 1949 to Barton and Jean Taylor and grew up in Central City, Iowa, graduating from Central City High School. After high school, Jan worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, until she married Bob Ehrenberger in 1979. Bob and Jane have two children, Daniel and Tiffany; and 11 grandchildren.

Jan was enthusiastic about home schooling and taught both children from kindergarten through graduation. She liked raising goats and making soap, cheese and yogurt from their milk. Jan was also an avid quilter and made quilts for both her children and all 11 grandchildren.

Jan was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Taylor of Clearlake, Iowa and sister, Joyce Taylor of Mt. Home, AR. She is also survived by her husband Bob; son, Daniel Ehrenberger of Shelbyville; daughter, Tiffany Rupp of Tremont, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren, Anna, Naomi, Miriam, Julia, Abigale, Jesse, Simon, Titus, Robert, Nathaniel and Conner.

Services will be held at a later date.
