Shelbina Man Arrested on Burglary Charges

Information Released by Shelbina Police Department
At approximately 6:45 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022, the Shelbina Police Department responded to C&R Supermarkets in Shelbina, Missouri in reference to a burglary which had occurred sometime overnight. An investigation was conducted by officer(s) of the Shelbina Police Department.
As a result of the ongoing investigation officer(s) of the SPD took Chad S. Lillard, 39, into custody at a residence within the 200 block of East Mill Street in Shelbina. Lillard was taken to the Shelby County Jail where he was held on a 24-hour hold for charges related to the burglary.
On Sunday, February 6, formal charges were filed against Lillard. Lillard is charged with a Class D Felony of Burglary in the Second Degree, Class E Felony of Possession of Burglary Tools, Class E Felony of Property Damage in the First Degree and Class A Misdemeanor of Stealing.
Lillard remains incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash bond.
