Billy Floyd Baker,  81, of Shelbyville, Mo., formerly of Plevna, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Billy was born August 30, 1940, in Plevna, the son of Floyd Levi and Wilma Pauline (Dodd) Baker. Billy was united in marriage to Carol Logan on November 15, 1957 at Shelbyville. She survives.

Billy is also survived by four daughters, Cindy Baker of Bethel, Sherrie Parsons (Lindell) of Shelbyville, Lori Washburn (Paul) of Lewistown and Twilla See (Allan) of Colony; eight grandchildren, Chris Parsons (Sarah), Jonathan Parsons (Michelle), Camil McCoy (Ryan), Chase Parsons (Skylar), Candice Nahler (Landon), Billie Washburn, Maggie Brenizer (Nick), and Emily Stark (Aaron); 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joann Turner of Overland Park, Kan..

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie Baker; grandson, Brian Parsons; and brother-in-law, Jack Turner.

Billy was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church. He drove for Taylor Trucking for over 50 years. Billy loved watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, getting to see his grandkids play sports, and spending time with his family.

Visitation was held  Tuesday, March 8,  from 5 to 7 p.m. at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery near Bethel, MO.
