Neil Reynolds, 77, of Shelbina, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Neil was born November 5, 1944, in Lakenan, the son of Paul and Mabel Maxine (Grubb) Reynolds. He was united in marriage to Theresa Harrison on June 28, 1965 in Moberly. She survives.
Neil graduated from Clarence High School in 1962. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Neil was a member of the Shelbina United Methodist Church, American Legion, where he was a member of the Honor Guard for many years, and the Clarence VFW. He volunteered at the Shelbina Food Bank and various other organizations. Neil loved to serve his community. He enjoyed working on his old Ford tractors, fishing, and spending time with his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren.
Neil is survived by his wife; three children, Neil Reynolds, Jr. (Allisha) of Cairo, Renee Miles (Terry) of Leonard and Damon Reynolds (Emily) of Centralia; 12 grandchildren, Justin, Jared, and Tyler Reynolds, Elizabeth Moore, Holly Redd, Sara Miles, Amber Ryan, Cayden, Addison, Ryan, Mehlia and Maclin Reynolds; and twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ellen Kipley and Carol Smith, both of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Morris Reynolds and Norman Reynolds; and one sister, Beverly Guthrie.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the funeral home. A burial with military honors will be held in the Shelbina Cemetery following the service.
