The Raiders lost to Schuyler County on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 after battling back in the seventh inning, 9-7.
NS (3-2) scored six runs on a single by Kyle Smith and Keaton Roan and a double by Carson Orr and JD Rich in the seventh inning, but it wasn’t enough for the win.
The Rams scored in the first inning, after a home run by Trevyn Small on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs.
Schuyler County scored three runs in the second inning. Doubles were made by Elliott Sevits and Small.
Casey Shockley led things off on the pitcher’s mound for NS. He went six innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and striking out 10. Landon Bender threw one inning.
The Raiders racked up 11 hits.

North Shelby (3-3) lost at home to the Panthers on Thursday, April 7, 3-1.
The game was tied 1-1 until MC scored two runs in the third inning. Robert Uhlmeyer claimed the only hit for NS. The Panthers tallied six.
Smith was on the mound and struck out two and walked three.
