The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for Nadean Elizabeth Wood, 92, of Clarence on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
Wood went missing Tuesday, August 9 at 10:14 p.m.
The advisory stated, Wood departed on foot from her residence, south of Clarence on Highway 151. The advisory stated the diagnosed medical condition was dementia.
According to Shelby County Sheriff Arron Fredrickson, Wood was found approximately one mile west of her residence in a field, alive, at approximately 3:15 p.m.
“The way the community came together to search for her was amazing,” said Fredrickson.
Sheriff Fredrickson said individuals showed up that he didn’t even know. They came from work, their farms and some had their children.
“All I can say is thank you Jesus for the blessing in the miracle of having her home safe and sound,” said Fredrickson.
