MSHP Report – Troop B
Two Shelbina men were involved in a one-vehicle accident on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, on county road 323, one mile south of Lakenan in Monroe County at 7:15 p.m.
According to the report, Samuel W. Blaine, 18, of Shelbina, was driving north in a 2010 Ford Flex when he failed to negotiate turn, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Blaine received minor injuries and declined treatment at scene.
Occupant Anthony A. Shehorn, 20, of Shelbina, was transported by private auto to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries. Travis L. Gale, 19, of Jefferson City, an occupant, refused treatment at scene. He has minor injuries.
All involved in accident were wearing seatbelts.
The vehicle has extensive damage and was removed by owner. The vehicle was insured by American Family.
The MSHP was assisted by Monroe County Sherriff’s Department.
