Lorraine Scott Taylor

We are sad to announce the death of our mother, Lorraine Scotte Taylor, who passed away in the hospital on Friday November 4, 2022, after a brief illness. We will miss her very much. Lorraine was born in Glendale, California on May 4, 1940.She was raised in Seattle, Washington and attended high school there. She then married Robert L Westfall. The had two children, Barbara and David.  She was a Navy wife, moving to many places, before divorcing.

She remarried Larry D Taylor in 1964. They had for more children Michael, Crystal, Cheryl and Noel.

Lorraine was a woman of many talents and worked mostly as a seamstress and a cook, most recently as a hospital cook.

Lorraine liked to keep busy and had several hobbies. She was an excellent cook, an accomplished quilter, and a voracious reader. Lorraine also loved knitting, crocheting and doing counted cross stitch.

Lorraine belonged to the Kingman Area Quilters, and the Hunnewell Mission Church in Hunnewell, Missouri.

She is survived by her six children, Barbara, David, Michael, Crystal, Cheryl and Noel. She also has seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her mother, Lorena T. Vogt, her first husband Robert L. Westfall, her second husband, Larry D. Taylor, and her partner, Darrel W. Foss.

To honor our mom, Lorraine’s memory we are holding a celebration of life on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 6:00pm at the beautiful Hunnewell Mission church SBC, Hwy 24, Hunnewell, Missouri. We invite anyone who knew Lorraine to attend and remember her wonderful life. We ask attendees to wear Red, her favorite color.
