A Shelbina man was arrested after allegedly stealing lottery tickets from the gas station where he was employed.
According to the Probable Cause Statement, on or about November 4 to November 9, 2022, at 7th Heaven, a convenience store in Shelbina, Nicholas G. Drebenstedt, 30, allegedly stole Missouri Lottery Tickets, valued at approximately $3,083.70.
Court documents state that Drebenstedt allegedly appropriated money from winnings of the stolen lottery tickets, valued at approximately $1,596.00.
Documents state, Drebenstedt was interviewed at the Shelbina Police Department on November 13 and allegedly confessed to stealing the lottery tickets and redeeming the winning stolen tickets at the various locations which were reported by the Missouri Lottery.
Drebenstedt was taken into custody by the Shelbina Police Department that same day at 2 p.m.
Drebenstedt is being charged in case No. 22SB-CR00232 with two counts of Stealing – $750 or more – Felony D by Shelby County Prosecutor Jordan Force.
He is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $20,000 cash only bond.
