The Shelby County Commissioners have scheduled a special meeting at the courthouse for Monday, January 23, 2023 at 10 a.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to hear the report from Adam Kuehl of HMN Architectural Firm. Mr. Kuehl is the principal architect selected by the County to complete a study of the conditions of the Shelby County Jail. This report is extensive and covers the recommended solutions along with a budget estimate of those costs.
“It is important information for all County residents to know and Mr. Kuehl will be able to take questions from the audience,” stated Presiding Commissioner, Terry Helmick.
Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend as it is an open meeting. Following the meeting there will be a tour of the Shelby County Jail for all who want to attend.
Sheriff Arron Fredrickson will be available for questions about the current facility.
