The Raiders beat Scotland County during the last home game on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, 61-37.
NS was led by Brendyn McDaniel with 20 points. JD Rich collected 16 while Jade Daniel and Gabe Orr had 10 each.
Rich went 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
As a team the Raiders (12-12) went 10-for-13 from the charity stripe.
In the first quarter, North Shelby had a 12-4 lead. Orr scored the first two points. McDaniel and Casey Shockley hit three-pointers. Daniel and McDaniel shared the last four points.
The Raiders put up 19 points in the second quarter. Rich had eight while McDaniel earned six. Daniel had four and Orr earned a bucket.
McDaniel had nine of the 22 points the Raiders claimed in the third. Rich scored five. Daniel and Orr each had four points. The Raiders only tallied eight points in the final quarter.
North Shelby vs. Bevier
The Raiders ended its regular season 13-12 after beating Bevier on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, 70-24.
North Shelby was led by JD Rich with 25 points. Jade Daniel earned 18.
Daniel scored all but nine of the 23 points the Raiders had in the first quarter.
Rich had a big second period as he collected 14 of the 29 points NS had. Rich scored six points in the third quarter. Clay Cook, Daniel Gabe Orr and Oren Vanskike each scored a bucket.
Cook and Rich shared the four points the Raiders had in the final quarter.
The Raiders are No. 2 in the Class 1 District 11 tournament taking place in La Plata this week.
