North Shelby jumped out to an early lead over Paris and took home a 14-4 victory on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. North Shelby Varsity Raiders scored on an error, a single by Grady Gander, a single by Jade Daniel, a double by Cade Fallert, and a groundout by Gander in the first inning.
North Shelby (8-6) secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the first inning. North Shelby Varsity Raiders’s big inning was driven by singles by Gander and Daniel, by T.J. Belt and Cole Browning, a groundout by Gander, an error on a ball put in play by Fallert, and a double by Fallert.
Browning pitched North Shelby Varsity Raiders to victory. The righthander surrendered three runs on five hits over three innings, striking out five and walking one. Fallert threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
L. Bounds took the loss for Paris. The pitcher allowed eight runs on three hits.
The Raiders totaled 10 hits. Kaden Hunolt, Daniel, and Isaac Berry each collected multiple hits for North Shelby Varsity Raiders. Berry, Daniel, and Hunolt all had two hits to lead North Shelby Varsity Raiders.
