Christopher Lyle White

Christopher Lyle White passed away September 4, 2023 in Bethel, MO. He was born July 27, 1973 in Macon, MO to Connie Beall White and Randy White.

He was united in marriage to Gwynna Staples on October 29, 1994 at their home in Bethel, MO. She preceded him death on April 11, 2017.

Others preceding him in death were paternal grandparents, Lyle and Louise White, maternal grandfather, Asa “Pa” Beall, Uncle Johnny Beall, Uncle Ronnie White, and father in law, Alan Staples.

He is survived by his children, Rachael (Jason) Bichsel of Shelbyville, MO and Cole White of Bethel, MO, and granddaughters Annie Jo and Gwynnie Grace Bichsel. He is also survived by his mother, Connie White, father Randy (Peggy) White, and mother-in-law, Ida Jo Staples, sisters-in-law Heidi (Bill) Reitz, Elizabeth (Jason) Miles, Susan (Jon) Miles, brother-in-law Aaron Staples, and brother, Mike (Linda) White. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Chris was employed at Cerro for 29 years, working as an operator and maintenance worker. Other side jobs and hobbies included working at Black Creek Outpost and helping anyone who needed an extra hand. He was a very hard worker and stayed busy even after working long hours at the factory.

Some of Chris’s favorite things were grilling, guns, hunting, fishing, being outside, cooking new things, and spending time with Cole and friends. If you needed a gun sighted in or any information about guns and ammo, he was your guy. His granddaughters brought him great joy and he always made sure they had ice cream sandwiches or a dessert after supper. He showed his love to others by cooking for them and making sure they were fed. He was a great son, dad, Poppa, and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Bethel Christian Church in Bethel, Missouri, with Michael Ryan officiating the service. A visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Bethel Christian Church. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, located north of Bethel, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Bethel Community Center.
