Macon Police Department News Releases, 30 April 2015:
On 4/11/15, a victim reported to the Macon Police Department that their account had advised the victim their tax return was rejected by the IRS due to someone else already turning in a return using their social security number. The victim was advised to report the incident to local law enforcement. At this time, no further information is available and the case remains open.
On 04/12/15, a victim reported to the Macon Police Department that a burglary occurred in the 600 block of Clay Street. The victim reported being away from their residence for a period of time on 4/12/15. Upon returning home, the victim discovered their TV missing. The TV is reportedly valued at approximately $800.00. This case remains under investigation at this time.
On 04/14/15, a victim reported to the Macon Police Department that medication was stolen from the victim’s residence in the 800 block of Ranchland Drive. The victim reported the items missing between 03/21/15 and 04/04/15. This case remains under investigation at this time.
On 04/15/15, the Macon Police Department received information of a male subject violating an order of protection by contacting the other party of the order. An officer of the Macon Police Department contacted the suspect for further investigation. As a result, police applied for and obtained an arrest warrant for Clifford G. Jennings, of Renick (MO), for violation of an order of protection. Jennings was arrested on 04/22/15 in Randolph County on the arrest warrant.
On 04/22/15, an officer of the Macon Police Department served an active arrest warrant upon Lawrence C DIXON, 48-year old black male of Macon, at the Probation & Parole Office. The City of Macon warrant was issued for driving without a valid license. DIXON was transported to the Macon Police Department for processing and was later released after posting required bond.
On 04/22/15, a victim reported to the Macon Police Department that their vehicle had been damaged while parked unattended in the 1300 block of South Missouri Street. It was reported the victim had parked their vehicle for a short period of time. Upon returning to the vehicle, damage was noted to an exterior rearview mirror estimated at $500.00. This case remains under investigation at this time.
On 04/22/15, a victim reported to the Macon Police Department a theft had occurred in the 200 block of Daugherty Street. It was reported the victim’s medication was taken from a residence. The medication is valued at approximately $200.00. This case remains under investigation at this time.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
On 04/23/15, the Macon Police Department assisted the Animal Control Officer follow-up on a report of a dog at large in the area of McKay and Rutherford Streets. As a result, police arrested a 60-year old white female of Macon for allowing dog to run at large. The female was released on summons pending a municipal court date.
On 04/23/15, Macon Police Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress in the 200 block of North Allen Street. As as result, police arrested a 30-year old white male of Macon for domestic assault. The suspect was transported to the Macon Police Department for processing and was released pending a municipal court date.
On 04/24/15, an officer of the Macon Police Department made enforcement contact with a vehicle in the area of Missouri and Fourth Streets. As a result of the contact, police arrested a 20-year old black male of Grandview (MO) for driving while license revoked and exceeding the posted speed limit. The suspect was released on summonses pending a Division II court date.
On 04/24/15, officers of the Macon Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress in the 100 block of West Bourke Street. Upon arrival, it was reported the male suspect had left the area. A description was obtained and he was located in the 200 block of West Bourke on foot. The suspect, a 47-year old black male of Macon, was taken into custody and transported to the Macon Police Department for further investigation. As a result, police arrested the suspect for domestic assault and placed him on 24-hour hold. Formal charges were later filed against Craig A. Hayes for domestic assault 2nd degree and violation of a protective order with bond being set at $9,000.00 cash only. The Macon Police Department was assisted by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation.
On 04/25/15, an officer of the Macon Police Department made enforcement contact with a vehicle in the area of Pearl and Prairie Streets. As a result of the contact, police arrested a 20-year old white male of Macon for minor in possession of alcohol. The suspect was transported to the Macon Police Department for processing and was later released pending a municipal court date.
On 04/25/15, a victim reported to the Macon Police Department that a cell phone had been stolen by a male suspect. A Macon Police Officer obtained information regarding the theft for further investigation. The cellular phone was recovered and returned to the owner. As a result, police arrested a 23-year old white male of Macon for stealing. He was processed at the Macon Police Department and was later released pending a municipal court date.
