Richard Dean Otey

Richard Dean Otey, age 85, of Shelbina passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina.

Richard was born on December 27, 1934 in Hobart, OK, the son of Ray Sr. and Evelyn Sean (Dodson) Otey. He was united in marriage to Carol O’Briant on June 19, 2004 in San Diego, Calif. She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Melanie Otey Hixon and husband Ken of Los Angeles, Calif. and Brett Richard Otey of Shelbina; two grandchildren, Samuel Hixon and Lilian Moore; one great-grandchild, Charlotte Hixon; and one brother, Bob Otey of Dallas, Texas.
