Roy Lee Robuck, 86, passed away Dec. 26. He was born May 18, 1934 in Macon, the son of Herman and Jewell Robuck.
He married his high school sweetheart of 5 years, Grace Craig, on Nov. 30, 1952 on the family farm.
Roy Lee belonged to the Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist Church of Macon. He danced for many years with the Beaux and Belles square dance club. He loved woodworking and being with family and close friends. He was a soft-spoken man with a big heart for everyone he loved.
He worked as an electrician for Peabody Coal and Associated Electric for over 20 years. He also worked on his farm that has been in the Robuck family for over 100 years.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years; his daughter, Le Ann Berry of Macon; grandsons, Devin Berry and wife Courtney of Macon; Collin Berry and wife Savannah of Williston, ND; Cameron Berry and wife Cassie of Columbia, MO; Mikeal Robuck and wife Jennie of Macon; 7 great-grandchildren: Nick Robuck of Macon, MO whom they raised; Arriah, Camden, and Ryland Berry of Williston, ND; Christopher and Jacob Robuck of Macon, MO; 2 step great-granddaughters Cheyenne and Kaylee; and one great-great-granddaughter Alice Robuck of Macon. He is also survived by one sister, Janet Chapin of Clarence, and one sister-in-law, Mary von Thun of Macon.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Robuck; grandson Melvin Robuck; infant grandson Christapher Robuck; and brother, Carl Louis Robuck.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Institute.
A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Macon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home of Macon.
