The 2022 Shelby County Fair will take off Tuesday, July 5 and be enjoyed until July 9, 2022, at the Shelby County Fairgrounds, north of Shelbina.
Check ins for FFA exhibits are set for Monday, July 4 from 5 to 6 p.m. Ham check ins are from 4 to 6 p.m.
Tuesday morning, the Poultry Show begins at 8:30 a.m. Following the show will be the Rabbit Show.
Check in for 4-H Exhibits is from 12 to 2 p.m.
Events for the evening are, the Bucket Calf Show at 5 p.m., followed by the Junior Calf Show. The Shelby County Open Cattle Show can be observed afterward.
The Little Mr. and Miss Contest will be held in the grandstands at 6 p.m. The Queen Contest will follow at 7 p.m.
Children ages seven to 15 can enjoy the Kids Fishing Derby at Shelbina Lake at 7 p.m.
Magic City House of Bounce Inflatable and Party Rentals will be set up at the fairgrounds July 6-9. For pricing view the schedule on page 10.
Helen Russell will entertain residents at Salt River Community Care at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6.
The Cat Show will begin at 3:30 p.m. The Clover Kid Small Animal Show is scheduled to begin at the conclusion of the Cat Show.
At 5 p.m., the Sheep Show is scheduled to begin. The evening will wrap up with the Talent Show at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 7, will kicked off with the Goat Show at 9:30 a.m.
The Junior Market Hog Show will begin the evening events at 4 p.m. The Shelby County Democrat Club will sponsor the Baby Show at 6 p.m.
Cake and homemade ice cream can be enjoyed in the Community Building at 6 p.m.
The Market Livestock Sale will conclude the Thursday events at 7 p.m.
The Monster Truck Freestyle Mania Show will take place Friday, July 8. A preshow can be viewed at the track from 6 to 7 p.m. Individuals can enjoy monster truck rides at 7:15 p.m. The show will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The Dog Show will start the last day of the fair on July 9 beginning at 9 a.m. The Demolition Derby is set to conclude the fair events at 5 p.m.
Music can be enjoyed in the beer garden beginning at 9 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
