This is Coach Parsons first year at North Shelby. After the game, Parsons was asked how he feels about his first district win at NS.
“It’s an awesome feeling. It’s been a while since I was able to enjoy one of these. To see the crowd and all the people that came out and to hear when they cheer for the girls and see the girls emotions, that’s what it is all about.”
The Lady Raiders will take on Class 1 No. 1 ranked Meadville on Tuesday, February 27. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m. at Salisbury.
“We obviously had our site set high. We want to get ourselves to the final four. That’s the ultimate goal,” Parsons said. “We want to go out and compete. Whether it’s win or lose, we want to go out on a high note. We don’t want to go out and just lay an egg. We want to go out and prove we deserve where we are.”
