The North Shelby Raiders hosted the state ranked Salisbury Panthers on Monday, February 5, 2024, and lost 64-28.
The Raiders started the game off matching the Panthers intensity and trailed 11-6 after one quarter.
North Shelby continued to battle in the second quarter and tied the game at 11-11 early in the quarter. Gannon Bowen’s three point shooting kept the Raiders close for most of the first half. The Raiders trailed 25-20 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Salisbury started to apply the pressure as their shots started falling. The Panthers outscored North Shelby 20-8 in the third quarter and held the Raiders scoreless with a 19-0 fourth quarter to cruise in the second half to a 64-28 win.
Bowen led the Raiders in scoring with 14 points, including four threes, followed by Jade Daniel with 11 points. Daniel also added 12 rebounds in the loss.
