Kiser Arrested for Additional Sodomy Charges

More felony charges have been filed against David Kiser, who previously lived in Shelbyville, but currently resides in Cairo, Missouri. Kiser is being charged on six sodomy charges.
Kiser, 65, was arrested on June 28, 2024, by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on a warrant issued in Shelby County.
Kiser was arrested in 2022 for alleged sodomy and alleged child molestation. He posted two $100,000 bonds.
In January of 2022, Kiser was charged with two counts of sodomy. In February of 2022, Kiser was arrested again for statutory sodomy and child molestation.
Two previously filed criminal cases against Kiser have been dropped and refiled to include one new victim and added charges.
Three probable cause statements have been filed and state that the alleged incidents occurred in Kiser’s home in Shelbyville.
Two of the charges Kiser faces of sodomy were alleged to have occurred in 2010. The other four allegedly occurred in 2021.
Kiser is being charged in case No. 24SB-CR00112 with six counts of Statutory Sodomy – 1st Degree by Assistant Attorney General Miranda Loesch.
Kiser’s bond was set at $100,000 cash only. Kiser requested that the current bond money being held by the circuit clerk is to be used to satisfy this bond condition. The circuit clerk is authorized to apply the current bond money toward this bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday, August 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in front of Shelby County Associate Judge Mike Greenwell.
All suspects are innocent unless proven guilty in court.
