Shelbina Chapter #159 OES held a stated meeting on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with 10 members and guests present.  Chapter was opened in regular form with Joyce Viloria, WM presiding.  Other officers present were Mark Sizemore, WP; Ruth Ann Dixson, AM Pro Tem; Ron Kribbs, AP Pro Tem; Lois Turner, Secy; Linda Sorrell, Cond; Jessie Sizemore, A. Cond; Linda Cullifer, Chaplain Pro Tem, Beverly Hipkins, Warder and Jim  Sorrell, Sentinel.  All present repeated the Pledge of Allegiance.

A guest introduced was Ron Kribbs, PP, Cairo #180.  Minutes of the meeting of April 9 were read and approved.  The charter was draped in memory of Jack Padley, PGM 2013.  A moment of silent pray was held. 

Spring greetings were read from the WGM and WGP.  A letter was read from General Grand Chapter explaining the passage of Resolution 42.  Letters were read from the WGM and WGP and the General Chairman concerning Grand Chapter.  The Secretary gave information about registration, housing and social reservations for Grand Chapter.  Letters were also read from the Educational Fund Scholarship Board, ESTARL and Welfare Fund.  Invitations were read for the 16th and 26th School of Instruction on April 26 at St. Mary’s, 3rd Dist. Reception on May 11 at Rutledge and 3rd Dist. Friendship Night on June 21 at LaBelle.  The Secretary reported sending 8 Easter Cards. 

Members were reminded that May 14 will be the DDGM’s Official Visit to the chapter.  Dress is formal.  Light meal at 6:30. June 25 will be Friendship Night and celebration for the 125th Anniversary of the chapter.  We will have a carry-in at 6:30. 

Eight members have still not paid their dues.  They are past due April 1.  Linda Culllfer observed a birthday. 

Chapter closed in regular form with members and guests retiring to the dining room for refreshments of donuts and ice cream furnished by Jessie & Mark Sizemore and Lois Turner.

The next meeting on May 14 will be a light meal prior to the meeting.
