Minutes Submitted
The Shelbyville Board of Aldermen met in regular session on Monday, May 5, 2025 at city office at 6 pm. Present were Mayor Mike Vanskike, Aldermen James Dunn and Rob Southers. Gina Mesmer, Randy Shores and Nathan Minear. Absent were Alderman Brad Willey and Gene Boyles.
Mayor Vanskike opened the meeting at 6 pm. A motion was made by Alderman Dunn and seconded by Alderman Southers to add an item to the agenda for a Financial program.
City Clerk explained the features and cost on a new financial program that is needed. Mayor Vanskike called Aldermen Boyles and Willey and they said yes to purchase. Alderman Dunn made a motion to purchase the new financial program with Frey Municipal Software and Alderman Southers seconded the motion. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Alderman Southers to approve the April minutes and seconded by Alderman Dunn. Motion passed. A motion was made by Alderman Southers to pay the bills and seconded by
Alderman Dunn. Motion passed.
Alderman Dunn had a discussion on when we are installing the new water meter at North Shelby.
Nathan will get with them to set up a time and date after school is out. Nathan is waiting on the ballast for the lagoon. Randy discussed needing a permit from MoDot for a new sewer line going in for a new building.
The next meeting will be June 2, 2025 at 6 pm.
Alderman Southers made a motion to adjourn at 6:34 pm and Alderman Dunn seconded.
