The Shelby County Commission met on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. at the Courthouse.
Those present were Commissioners, Ray Bacon, Terry Mefford, and County Clerk, Stephanie Bender.
The Commission reviewed and approved the minutes of the June 12, 2025 meeting by a vote of 2-0 with Terry Mefford and Ray Bacon voting yes.
Presiding Commissioner Terry Helmick is attending an Emergency Management Training Conference along with E911 Supervisor, Stacy Helmick.
Crystal Perrigo reported a hole in the middle of Shelby 452 south of Shelby 322.
Commission contacted MFA about fuel prices and contracts.
Sheriff, Arron Fredrickson was in to update the progress on the jail project.
Peters Heating and Air was in to go through the bid specs. They went around the building to each office and explained their plans for each office.
Commission discussed payroll, 911 staffing problems, and also Road and Bridge and General Revenue staffing issues.
Helen Russell contacted the Commission about SB190.
The Commission adjourned there will be no meeting on Thursday, June 19, 2025 due to Juneteenth. The next Commission meeting will be Monday, June 23, 2025 at 8:30 am.
